New controversy as figures reveal pro-Palestine demonstrations taking place in London since October have cost taxpayers more than £25m.

Since the start of the war in Gaza, 11 marches and many more local rallies have taken place across the capital city with hundreds of thousands taking to the streets.

MPs from a cross-party home office committee on policing protests are warning that the demonstrations are placing unsustainable pressure on police resources.
